Chemical Dependency, Relapse Pathways, Relapse Prevention Medications
Substance Dependency is a chronic disease of the hypothalamus, or pleasure pathways in the brain.  Relapses can occur at any time in recovery.  There are three major relapse pathways that patients and families need to be aware of, and there are some medications that increase the rate of sobriety.  This lecture covers the three relapse pathways and relapse prevention medications.
