On a recent hot and sunny Saturday in Austin, a La Hacienda-sponsored team went undefeated against competition from all over Texas to win the 4th Annual Recovery Softball Tournament.
Cade Saurage, La Hacienda’s Director of Utilization Review and Strategic Partnerships, coached the championship team made up of men and women in recovery.
“Sober activities are an essential component for those in therapy, especially at the collegiate age,” said Cade.
The non-profit organization RecoveryATX hosted the tournament. Funds raised will help send area participants to the first-ever Clean and Sober Softball World Series in Palm Springs, California.
“La Hacienda was pleased to be able to provide such opportunities by sponsoring this champion team, and to have a role in sending others in recovery to play in the softball world series,” said Cade.
“We seek to partner with like-minded organizations to support worthy causes and to encourage fun activities in sober living.”
