What is your success rate?
Recovery is an ongoing process that requires total commitment to achieve success. We believe complete recovery from the obsession to use is possible for alcoholics and other drug addicts. It is very difficult to provide reliable statistics on recovery rates a year post treatment. We do have those percentages but, rather than chance a false impression to the reader, we would instead like to quote the results of reliable studies that show these actions will greatly increase the chance for a life that is happy, joyous and free of addiction.
- Establish a relationship with a physician in your home community to assist you with the aftercare recommendations of the physician you regularly saw in treatment.
- Join a support group of like-minded individuals looking for a life free of addiction and attend the meetings regularly.
- Continue individual and or family therapy as recommended by your counselor while you were in treatment.
- Become part of something bigger than yourself. Volunteer to work with a cause you believe in, attend to your spiritual health and well-being, continue your education, re-energize your career.
- Engage with the important people in your life even if to do so requires mending broken relationships.
These steps when followed will all but guarantee a successful outcome in your journey of recovery.
If there’s no insurance, how much is treatment?
Like any other kind of inpatient hospital help, treatment is expensive. For your self pay dollar, La Hacienda provides a staff to patient ratio of nearly 2:1. That is one of the highest ratios for the treatment of addiction in the country. Our medical team is comprised of five full-time physicians: four internists and one psychiatrist. All have specific training in addiction. Our nursing staff provides care for patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have one of the best detox units in the business. Please call our Inquiry Call Center and a staff member will gladly give you our self pay rates.
What should I do if my family member isn’t willing to go to treatment?
An intervention, properly done, serves to raise the bottom, create a crisis, break through the denial system and lead the dependent person to the help that they need to begin recovery. The structured team approach is the most effective form of intervention and while there is some risk involved, the process itself and the work that leads up to it are acts of love, courage and hope. For more information on structured interventions, please visit our Intervention page. You may also contact our Inquiry Call Center for information on interventionists.
What is your average length of stay?
Our program is usually 30-60 days. Each person is different and it is very hard to determine beforehand how long someone needs to be in treatment. We like to say that “we don’t want you to be in treatment one day longer than you need to be, but we don’t want you to leave a day early either.”
Do you have outpatient treatment available?
For those who need a structured program while they continue to live and work in their own communities, we provide outpatient services in Austin in person and a Virtual option for anyone in the state.
What is the admission process?
You first step is to contact our Inquiry Call Center at (800) 749-6160. Our staff will gather the necessary information to determine how we can best meet your treatment needs. Many times we can facilitate an admission the same day.
As a referring professional, will I be involved?
Providing that the patient signs an authorization to release information, we will gladly involve referring professionals to the extent they desire.
What makes La Hacienda better than other places?
We believe there are few treatment centers that blend clinical, spiritual, medical and the Twelve Steps of recovery as well as La Hacienda. We have a staff to patient ratio of nearly 2:1. That is one of the highest ratios for the treatment of addiction in the country. Our medical team is comprised of five full-time physicians: four internists and one psychiatrist. All have specific training in addiction. Each patient is seen by the doctor every day. Our nursing staff provides care for patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have one of the best detox units in the business. Each patient is given a treatment plan that is specific to their needs. Our Family Program educates the family members about the illness of addiction and helps the family begin the healing process. We help patients coordinate a continuing care plan for the next six to twelve months. Our Alumni Department follows up with each patient on a regular basis for the first year and continues to stay in touch thereafter. The decision to go to alcohol and drug rehab is not an easy one to make but it helps when you know that the place you are going has a reputation that stands the test of time.
