| This year several volunteers in La Hacienda’s Utilization Review and Business Development Departments set out to do something different. These truly grateful employees decided to give back this year but did it with target and focus. They launched the very first “Mothers In Recovery” Christmas Project. After reaching out to local Sober-living Home Managers to gather qualified ‘maternal’ nominees, the La Ha group adopted 3 mothers who were passionate about recovery and bought Christmas presents to help during a holiday season that is always tough on the pocketbook. 5 kids received a stack of presents that even Santa Claus himself would have been proud of. The group won’t get to see the smiles on the kid’s faces on Christmas morning, but the tears of joy in the mother’s eyes said it all! |
