As we closely monitor the developing COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily postpone our on-campus Family Program effective March 30th. The health and safety of our patients, employees, and visitors remain La Hacienda’s top priority.
In place of the on-campus event, the Family Program team is diligently working to create an alternative resource that will be available to you on-line as soon as possible.
We regret any inconvenience. Updates will soon follow.
For more information, please contact Family Program Staff at: (830) 238-4222 x300, 301, 302 or 303.
La Hacienda’s Family Program helps patients and their family members increase their understanding of chemical dependency. It provides information on alcoholism/addiction, codependency, family dynamics, communication, recovery and relapse prevention.
With a signed authorization from the patient in place, a staff member will call to assign a Family Week date. The program begins at noon Monday and concludes with the evening meal Wednesday.
The Family Program is available free of charge to participants. Each day has its own value and importance. Full participation is expected, so variation in attendance must be discussed with Family Program staff. We suggest no more than three family members attend.
Upon arrival, family members are directed to the Family Program building for check-in. Then, you will meet your loved one in the Dining Room for lunch. Orientation begins in the Family Program building at 1 PM Monday.
Meal plans are purchased during Family Program check-in. There is a $25 meal plan fee per guest, which includes lunch and dinner during the program days. Tickets for individual meals are not offered during the program.
The program is not suited for children under 15 years of age. Child care needs to be arranged prior to Family Week. La Hacienda does not provide child care.
If program participation is not possible during the patient’s treatment stay, patients have up to one year to return and complete the Family Program on an outpatient basis at no additional cost. There is a 30-day post-discharge waiting period.
Please call the Family Program office at (830) 238-4222, X300 as soon as possible to confirm your attendance.
Our offices are open 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
