Ronnie Carter, Admission Specialist

Ronnie Carter | La Hacienda

Like all our admission staff, Ronnie is committed to seeing that people who need help receive it. “Ronnie was awesome. kind, calm, supportive,” writes one former patient. “He called me many times on my drive down to make sure I was not in a bar and was on my way.”  Ronnie knows what callers are experiencing. “I drank and used for over 36 years. I can relate to most everyone’s apprehension to make the call and ask for help.” Having been clean and sober since 2013, he can also provide insight on “being on the other side and the hope and the new life that comes after we make the decision to make a change.” Born and raised in the Hill Country, Ronnie worked in offshore oilfields for 17 years and was a directional driller another five years. Having achieved sobriety, in 2018 he started what he calls “the most rewarding employment of my life” as a Direct Care Assistant at La Hacienda. He joined the Admissions Department in November 2019.
