2017 Alumni Reunion Thank You

45th Annual Alumni Reunion

La Hacienda’s 45th Annual Alumni Reunion was a huge success! We are grateful to all that came out to spend their weekend with us. Thank you to everyone who shared their stories with a special thank you to our speakers: Kristen, Katie and Don. You were very well received by all those who attended. (Speaker tapes can be purchased from CD’s by Jim – [email protected].)

Over 375 alumni and guests from across Texas, and as far away as Hawaii, attended our reunion. We want to give a shout out to the alumni groups who came to represent their cities, especially our Austin and San Antonio alumni groups who designed their own T-shirts.

The bonfire set the tone of Friday night’s meeting on the Guadalupe River.  Alumni shared their stories in an intimate setting. Saturday, we began the day with a Counselor Open House and Allison and Ryan facilitated the Power Pole on the ROPES Course. It was great to see alumni and their families experience the ROPES Course, some even for the first time. The counselors love seeing alumni come back and sharing their recovery stories. Before our afternoon speaker, we had a city shout out recognizing alumni groups from Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Beaumont, College Station, Midland, San Antonio, Tyler and Waco. We gave raffle giveaways and 67 alumni picked up recovery chips.

The annual Alumni Reunion is a major team effort with tremendous contributions from all involved. We would like to thank our excellent staff at La Hacienda, including the kitchen staff, nutritional services, maintenance and grounds crew, housekeeping, weekend staff and counselors. We also want to extend a special thanks to the volunteers who dedicated their time to make this event a success. Lastly, we offer our thanks to God as each year we put in hours of planning to make this a great event. Each year, that faith in Him is shown in the successful outcome that follows.

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful time of fellowship.
