Paul has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1996, specializing in chemical dependency, marriage counseling, and mental health. He counsels clients in crisis, teaches discharge and focus groups, conducts guided meditations and accompanies clients to outside 12 step meetings. With La Hacienda since June 2017, Paul credits his arrival as a “God-thing.” He had worked in another inpatient program for nearly three years and was so burned-out that he resigned and took time off to regain perspective. He loves the spirit of kindness that pervades the La Hacienda campus, and his awesome colleagues. Before coming here, Paul was a counselor in many different settings and a psychology professor. Paul enjoys outings with his wife, walking along the Guadalupe River, and building solid electric guitars from exotic hardwoods. He has three grown sons.
